Frost free windshields

Whenever driving in cold weather the windshield of your car tends to get frosted. No fuss. Get some rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and spritz it onto the windshield and you will have clear vision all the way home.

Frost free windows

To prevent frost from building up on your windows at home. Make a solution of 4 cups of water and 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol and spray it onto your windows. This will work magic in keeping the windows free of frost when the temperature dips.

Cleans Granite: Vinegar is normally a good cleaning solution to sanitize countertops, But the acidity in it is too harsh and will cause corrosion of the granite surface. Use rubbing alcohol as follows: mix 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol, 1 tablespoon ammonia, 3 cups of water and 1 teaspoon of dish soap and there you have your countertop cleaner.


Remove Labels and stickers

To remove stickers or some types of labels from a nice mason jar, wet the sticker or label with some rubbing alcohol and let it soak for about ten minutes. The alcohol is dissolvent so the sticker or label should peel away easily.

Remove Ink Stains

If permanent marker gets on the couch rub some rubbing alcohol on it and get it out or if pen ink gets on your clothes, you can wet the area with rubbing alcohol, rinse with water and wet it again until the pen ink is gone.


Sanitize Electronics

Cell phones and laptops are filled with loads of bacteria and they increase from time to time when the surfaces are not cleaned often. Use a cotton swab or sponge damped with rubbing alcohol and wipe the surfaces of your phone, keyboard, and mouse.


Remove Stains from Microfiber sofa

To eliminate microfiber sofa stains, spray some rubbing alcohol over the stained area and wipe with a clean sponge or cloth and allow it to dry. Unlike water, which may stain the microfiber, rubbing alcohol won’t penetrate the fabric and it will evaporate quickly.


Remove Carpet Stain

To remove greasy stains, apply some rubbing alcohol to a piece of cloth and lightly rub the stain. To be safe, try on an inconspicuous part of the carpet first.

Eliminates Odors

Applying rubbing alcohol to your hands after chopping onions or garlic will remove the odor from your hands. It works just like a hand sanitizer.

 Sooth the skin

If you have ever seen someone who feels sick rubbing their body with rubbing alcohol, the reason is that it instantly cools and relaxes muscles and brings blood flow to the skin surface.



Relief Itches

Patting a little rubbing alcohol onto an itchy bug bite will help to relieve the itchiness by killing the micro-organisms that cause the area to itch.


Rubbing alcohol can be used to replace deodorant. So just in case you run out of deodorant and happen to be going on a date. Not to worry, place a bit in a spray bottle and tip a few drops of your favorite essential oil, and spritz under your arm.

Killing Nail fungus

Soaking your hands or feet in a tub filled with water and rubbing alcohol can help get rid of fungal growth under nails. This can be done on a daily basis until the fungus goes away.

Nail polish remover

Rubbing alcohol can be interchanged with nail polish remover.
